Fall Prevention Guided Programs

Introducing Bingocize®: An Engaging and Approved Health Promotion Program

Bingocize is a 10-week, evidence-based health promotion program that has received approval from both SNAP-Ed and The National Council on Aging (NCOA). This innovative program combines exercise and valuable health information with the popular game of bingo, making it an enjoyable and interactive experience for seniors. With sessions designed to be played twice a week, each lasting approximately 45-60 minutes, Bingocize encourages seniors to stay active, socialize, and have fun. Depending on their physical and cognitive abilities, participants can choose from various “curriculums” such as Exercise Only, Falls Prevention, and Nutrition, ensuring a tailored approach to their specific needs.

Empower Yourself with A Matter of Balance: Boost Confidence and Stay Active

A Matter of Balance is a specialized program that aims to alleviate the fear of falling and enhance activity levels among older adults. With the flexibility to choose between in-person and virtual formats, A Matter of Balance community classes cater to different preferences. The in-person sessions consist of 8 two-hour sessions, while the virtual program offers 9 two-hour sessions. In both formats, a team of two trained facilitators leads a small group of 8-12 participants. This nationally recognized program was developed at the Roybal Center at Boston University, providing assurance of its quality and effectiveness. Take control of your well-being and join A Matter of Balance to boost confidence and maintain an active lifestyle.
